Coffee tamping is the way forward for a rich and consistent coffee every time. While for tamping you might think all you need is a tamper and a portafilter, try the tamping stand.

The stand makes it super convenient to place the portafilter and hold in position. It also provides the elevation, so you can comfortably tamp without having to bend down too much.
Furthermore, since it has rubber mats on both top and bottom, the portafilter and the countertop are saved from any damage.
Fill the portafilter with sufficient ground coffee and place over the stand. Level the surface and press down the tamper to get a closely packed cake.
